The Haunting of Sulpich Wood
A.K.A. “I put ‘er in reverse!”
A legendary saying which has made it into several other games.
Trying to break into the foreign diplomat’s residence, the party hijacked a carriage and stole the driver’s suit. Jaye’s character, dressed as the driver, became nervous when asked to produce credentials, and instead of reaching into the suit pocket for them (and over the vocal protests of all the other players), he shouted, “I put ‘er in reverse!”
A few hundred dodged crossbow bolts, an hour of chases, and one ruined city later, the party was mostly safe. (Mostly. They tried to leave the city and panicked again when the guard asked where they were going. He just wanted to say that there were kobolds to the north, but they ran, provoking another chase in which three characters were captured.)
